April 15, 2005

Today we responded to four calls. The first was an assist to Company 69 (Lima) for an automatic alarm at 01:44:05. Crews released after an investigation. At 08:06:34 Comapany 50 responded with the Spill unit to assist Company 69 (Lima) with a clean up and control fluids from a vehicle accident. Our Third call dispatched at 09:15:43 for an investigation. This call turned out to be a brush fire, Company 69 (Lima) and Company 54 (Lenni) helped to control the fire. We completed the day with another assist to Company 69 (Lima) for an automatic alarm at 15:17:19.


February 24, 2005

Company 50 was dispatched 16:31:01today for an accident with injuries on South New Middletown Rd. 50-9A (Frank Williams) gave the intital report confirming three cars, one with entrapment. Crews from 50-2 stabilized the vehicle and extricated the subject with the assistance of Company 54 (Lenni). Crews from Company 69 also helped on the location and Medic 1047.


February 6, 2005

We responded to an auto accident with entrapment outside the firehouse. Crews from Company 54 (Lenni) and 69 (Lima) assisted.

We assisted Compnay 72 (Aston-Beachwod) with an automatic fire alarm on New Rd.


February 1, 2005

We had two calls today. First was an assist to Company 72 (Aston-Beachwood) for a building fire. Our second call came in at 16:29:21 for an assist to Company 63 (Green Ridge) for a building fire.


January 28, 2005

Today we recieved a call for a building fire. The call came in at 12:57:29 for 364 E Dutton Mill Rd. Upon arrival 50-9A (Frank Williams) reported heavy smoke showing in the rear of the building. Telesqurt 50 arrived on the scene as 50-9 (Walter Strohl) established command. Crews from Company 50 and from Company 69 (Lima) made the initial attack on the first floor while Company 54 (Lenni) secured the hydrant. Crews from Company 63 (Green Ridge) assisted with ventilation. Companies 23 (Media), 52 (Brookhaven), Canteen 47, and 72 (Aston-Beechwood) where also called in to provide additional manpower. Company 32 (Marcus Hook) came in to cover for us while we where on location. Thanks to all companies for helping out.


January 18, 2005

Today we had two calls and a drill. Our first call came in at 09:33:42 for an autmatic alarm. Our second call came in at 16:17:28, an assist to Comany 63 (Green Ridge) for a possible building fire. We finished up our day with a drill going over the tools needed during a motor vehicle accident.

Today we responded to an assist to Company 63 (Green Ridge), crews recalled after an investigation was completed.


January 16, 2005

Today we had three calls. The first was an assist to Company 72(Aston-Beechwood) for an automatic alarm at Neumann College. Our second call came in as an assist to Company 54(Lenni) with a motor vehicle accident. We closed out the day with a kitchen fire in our local. The call came in at 19:24:02 location Meadowbrook Lane. Upon arrival 50-9A (Frank Williams) placed the scene undercontol. The home owner had been able to contain the fire to its origin.


January 15, 2005

We started out a little early today. We responded to a call to assist company 54 (Lenni) for an auto accident. The call came in at 05:25:21 location South Pennell Rd and Lenni Rd. We got recalled enroute at 05:34:56.


January 14, 2005

Today we investigated a wires call on Glen Riddle Rd.


January 13, 2005

Today we responded to five calls. our first call came in as investigation of a natural gas leak inside PENNDOT's Maintanace Depot. Crews form 54 (Lenni), 69 (Lima), 23 (Media) responded. Next we assisted Company 63 (Green Ridge) for and automatic alarm. Crews recalled. Our third call was for a car accident at South New Middletown and Glen Riddle Rd. Thanks to Company 54 (Lenni) for their help. About an hour later we had anouther accident on Glen Riddle and Springhouse Lane. This turned out to be two cars with no injuries. Company 54 (Lenni) responded but was released so they could help Company 69 (Lima) with another accident. We finished up the day with an investigation along Creek Rd, for an odor of fuel oil.

Today we helped the medics with lifting assistance on Old Middletown Rd.

Drill night, Today we worked on 50-2, We repacked the hose bed and showed the Juniors and Cadets what to look out for when repacking the hose.


January 10, 2005

Today we responded to a one vehicle accident on West Knowlton Rd. Upon arriaval we found a Dodge Caravan against a utility pole. Chief Strohl Was in command. Crews from Company 50 and Comany 54 (Lenni) removed the hazzard.


January 7, 2005

We had another automatic fire alarm assist to Company 69 (Lima). Crews recalled.


January 6, 2005

We had a call to assist Company 54 (Lenni) for an accident. The crew was recalled enroute.


January 5, 2005

We assisted M1047 on Catchpenny lane. The crew was needed for lifting assistance.


January 4, 2005

We had two calls for the day. Both calls came in as automatic alarms in Company 69's (Lima) local.

December 25, 2004

Company 50, responded to two calls today. The first was an assist to Company 23 (Media), assignment recalled by 23-9. Second call came in at 22:48:13, in our local for a Building fire reported in the chimney. Companies 69(Lima),54(Lenni) and 72(Aston-Beechwood) responeded to assist. Crew from Truck 69 secured the roof, while crews from Company 50 took interior opperations. Crews were in service for about an hour.


December 19, 2004

We had three calls today. Our day started out with an assist to Compnay 52 ( brookhaven) for a vehicle accident with entrapment. The second call came in for a transformer on Elwyn Ave. We ended the day with an accident on Linville rd. Crews from 50 and 54 (Lenni) removed the hazzard and made available at 21:56:32


December 17, 2004

Another two call day. Our first call for the day came in at 15:07:10. The automatic alarm was activated when the homeowner forgot to open the damper in the fireplace. Company 69 (Lima), 54 (Lenni), Company 23 (Media) responded to the call. Crews recalled at 15:17:20. Our second call came in as an assist to Company 69 (Lima) for an accident with entrapment on Baltimore pike, crew recalled at 22:12:17


December 16, 2004

Today we had two calls the first came into assist Company 69 (Lima) with an antother automatic alarm. Our second call came in at 18:06:34. The call came in as another automatic alarm. Upon arival crews from 69 (Lima), 54 (Lenni) and 50 found light smoke and ventilated. The damper on the fireplace had been closed when the homeowner started the fire.


December 15, 2004

Company 50 responded to two calls today. The first call came in at 12:02:36 to assist company 69 (Lima) with a car fire. Second call came in at 19:44:45 for an smoke detector activation. Truck 69 (Lima) recalled the asignment.


December 13, 2004

Today we assisted Company 69 (Lima) with an investigation of an automatic Alarm. The call came in at 10:20:48


December 11, 2004

Company 50 had two alarms today. The first was an assist to Company 23 (Media) for an investigation for a gas leak. The second call was an assist to Company 69 (Lima) for an automatic alarm.


October 12, 2004 @ 7:30 PM

Company 50's drill night was live vehicle fire training. This provided both our junior and seniors some valuable hands on training. We had a pickup truck and a sedan for the drill.

Middletown Fire Company was dispatched to 334 South Old Middletown Rd. for a building fire. Asst. Chief Frank Williams arrived on location with a single story 30 x 30 detached garage with heavy smoke showing. Crews from Middletown, E69 (Lima), E54 (Lenni) and SQ23 (Media) Quickly extinguished and overhauled the fire with tank water. The fire appears to have been the result of hot embers from a controlled burn on the property
