Earlier this afternoon TS-50 made it's way down to PPL park, home of the Philadelphia Union, to cheer on Philadelphia Fire Department Captain Neil Calore. Captain Calore is rowing from Washington DC to New York City in a home built boat to raise money for Autism. Concordville Fire Company (59) and Lima Fire Company (69) formed an arch in honor of the Captain. Also showing support were Lenni Fire Company (54), Lower Chichester Fire Company (39), and Chester City Fire Department. If you wish to follow the Captain on his journey or donate to his cause please visit the following link: http://voyageforautism.blogspot.com/

Today members from Station 50 along with Station 54 ( Lenni Heights) attended a firefighter survival and bailout training class to compliment our new Gemtar harnessess. Members enjoyed a fun and exhausting day learning how to properly use our new gear. The Middletown Fire Company would like to thank Safety and Survival Training LLC. for coming out Middletown Township and we hope to have them back in the near future for some more classes.
