7, 2007 Tonight a
crew with 50-2 covered Station 40 (Boothwyn) along with Engine 68 (MHTFD) while
they had their Christmas Party and dinner. Crews ran two calls. The first was
a natural gas leak. The second call was for an accident on I-95. Crews responded
and assisted the medics and secured the scene. October
4, 2007 This evening crews were
disptached to 538 S. New Middletown Rd. for an accident. Crews on scene removed
the hazzard. October 1, 2007 This
evening we were dispatched along with 52(Brookhaven) to Duttons Mill Rd for an
accident. The assignment was recalled. September
29, 2007 Middletown Fire Company
would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Sharon Hill Fire Company and
Holmes Fire Company with the passing of Firefighter Michael Reagan. Firefighter
Reagan succumbed to injuries sustained fighting a garage fire on September 27th.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Michaels family and Sharon Hill as well as Holmes
and the other two firefighters who were injured in the collapse. **Middletown
Fire Company wishes a speedy recovery to FF Brees and FF Frost. The injured firefighters
and Parkside Fire Company are in our thoughts and prayers.** August
24, 2007 The company would like to
congratulate the following members for completing National Firefighter I Certification:
Greg Reitze, Duke Nasino, Dave Beresford, Steve Hazelton, Josh Zigmund, Brian
Decker, and Wes Potter. Greg Reitze and Dave Beresford also completed National
Fire Fighter II Certification. Pat
Walls, Tom Wooding, John Mallet, Shawn Antonelli, Sarah Antonelli, and Rob Tull
completed the Extierior Firefighting Module of the fire program. These juniors
will be able to complete National Firefighter I when they turn 18. The
company would also like to congratulate Lou Marcozzi, Mike DeMeo, and John Toal
for completing Pennsylvania Dept. of Health Vehicle Rescue Technician. Going
along with certification news Pat Walls and Tom Starrs completed Pennsylvania
Dept of Health Emergency Medical Technician. August
14, 2007 Tonight for drill we did
vehicle rescue evolutions. Members worked on gaining access using door pop, roff
roll and dash push methods. A variety of tools were used and everyone got a little
bit of hands on expierence. Cadets were able to watch and and observe different
tools and methods. August
12, 2007 Crews responded to an elevator
rescue. Fire units were recalled. August
11, 2007 Early this morning around
2 A.M. Company 50 was requested to assist on a working rowhome fire on 11 Park
Vallei Lane. As TS-50 went responding it was reported that firefighters were trapped
and 45-9A (Parkside) called a 2ND Alarm. TS-50 arrived on location and searched
the left exposure building and checked for extension. Crews found no extension
and stoodby in the manpower pool. Crews also went to the roof and assisted with
ventilation efforts. TS-50 and 50-3 made the response. August
9, 2007 Today crews responded to
a MVA at N. Middletown Rd. and Yearsley Mill Rd. 50-2 and 50-8 responded and were
returned. August 8, 2007 This
morning the company was dispatched to the rear of granite run pontiac for an accident
with entrapment. M104-7(Riddle) arrived to find a vehicle overturned with negative
entrapment. Crews returned. Later in the day Station 50 was dispatched to 708
Meadowood for a fire alarm. TS-50 arrived and investigated the cause of the alarm.
69-2 stood by at the hydrant as a precaution. Crews found nothing and returned.
August 7, 2007 Two
calls for today. The first call was for an AFA at 569 S. Heilbron Dr. 50-3 was
recalled enroute. The other call was for another AFA at 411 N Middletown Rd. 50-3
was recalled enroute. August
6, 2007 At approximately 11 AM this
morning Station 50 was alerted to an automatic fire alarm on 2 Stoneridge Ln.
Crews from TS-50 investigated. Later
today companies were dispatched to 138 W. Forge Rd. for the structure fire. 69-9
arrived to find smoke showing from the two story house. TS-50 was given orders
enroute to come in and send a crew to the roof. TS-50 was the third engine in
and backed in the driveway and laddered the building. Crews from TS-50 also raised
ground ladders on arrival. 50-2, 50-3, 50-8, and 50-1 also made the response for
the fire. Crews from company 50 assisted with search, ventilation and overhaul
operations. All companies on scene did a great job of battling both the fire and
the weather. August 5, 2007 Two
calls for the day. The first call was for a tree on fire at 3 Foxcroft Lane. 50-3
responded and extinquished the fire with a booster line. Our second call was for
a transformer at 550 Linville Rd. Units investigated and notified PECO. August
4, 2007 Co. 50 responded to a report
of a brushfire at 5000 Hilltop Dr. 50-3 was recalled enroute. August
3, 2007 One call for the day. Units
were dispatched to 520 Heilbron Dr for the fire alarm. Units were recaleld enroute. August
2, 2007 Today units responded to
399 Howarth Rd. for a fire alarm. Crews were recalled enroute. July
31, 2007 Tonight was drill night.
Members were instructed on the operation and maintenance of our new saw. Crews
practiced using the saw for ventilation on the roof mock up members contructed
for training. Also tonight some members tested out for their CPR cards. July
30, 2007 Station 50 was dispatched
to 207 Azalea Ct for a gas leak inside reported with sick occupants. The gas company
was on location and secured the problem and crews from 50 were recalled. July
29, 2007 Tonight crews responded
to 448 Spring Valley Rd. for an accident. Crews arrived to find a single vehicle
into a pole. 50-9A arrived to find no entrapment but injuries. 50-2 arrived and
assisted M104-7 (Riddle)with patient care and removing the hazzard. 50-9A requested
two additional ambulances due to the number of patients. Crews cleared within
the hour. July 27, 2007 Two
calls today. The first call of the day was a automatic fire alarm at 340 N. Middletown
Rd. Crews recalled. The second call was for wires down with hazzards. 50-3 arrived
to find wires down. 50-9B notified PECO. July
26, 2007 Crews responded to 429 Mattrissa
Ridge for the AFA. Crews recalled enroute. July
25, 2007 Early this morning around
3 AM crews were dispatched to KMart Dept. Store for the reported building fire.
52-9(Brookhaven) recalled the assignment it was found to be workers on the roof. July
24, 2007 One call for today. Co.
50 was dispatched to 259 6th St. in Upland for the reported building fire. Crews
from TS-50 assisted on scene with investigating the odor of smoke in the building.
Tonight's drill was foam application. Members were instructed on the benefits
of foam, it's uses, when to use it and how to apply it. Crews took turns practicing
applying foam in the lower parking lot of the firehouse. July
23, 2007 This evening Co. 50 was
dispatched to Creek Rd. and Knowlton Rd. for fuel spill after the accident. Crews
from 50-2 used oil dry to clean up the fluids down on the road. July
21, 2007 Co. 50 was dispatched to
352 and Vanleer for an accident with entrapment. Crews were recalled by 69 (Lima)
July 20, 2007 Company
50 responded to three calls today. The first call was for an accident at S New
Middletown Rd and Elwyn Ave. Crews removed the hazzard. Our second came around
1 pm for the AFA at 1343 W Baltimore Pk. Co. 50 assisted with the investigation.
A few hours later companies were dispatched to 1343 again for the fire alarm.

19, 2007 One call for today. Station
50 was dispatched to 8 General Steuben Dr. for a gas detector activation. Crews

the company responded to a motor vehicle accident at E Knowlton Rd. and Fox Rd.
Crews on scene assisted with traffic control and removed the hazzard. July
17, 2007 Tonight was the company
drill night. Members worked on establishing water supply and driver training. July
16, 2007 Two calls for today. The
first call was for an AFA at 137 Cedar Ct. Crews from Station 50 investigated
the alarm. The second call was for an AFA on 2 Spring Oak Circle. 50 was recalled
enroute. July 15, 2007 Three
calls for the day. Our first call was an automatic fire alarm on 34 W. Knowlton
Rd. Crews investigated the cause of the alarm and returned to the station. The
second call was for an automatic fire alarm at 515 Painter Rd. Co. 50 was recalled
enroute. The final call for the day was for a fuel spill at 459 Woodcrest Lane.
Crews on scene cleaned up the small spill and returned. July

the company drill night. The company worked on driver training and junior and
cadet members reviewed the apparatus, their equipment, and the capabilities of

7, 2007 Early
this morning station 50 was dispatched to an auto accident at 352 and Knowlton
Rd. Companies recalled per 50-12. Crews were dispatched later in the day to 1048
W. Baltimore Pk for the reported building fire. Arriving units found an odor of
the smoke in the building due to it being burn day. July
5, 2007 Co. 50 was dispatched to
445 S. New Middletown Rd. for an accident. Crews removed the hazzard. July

crews responded to 273 Oak Ave. for a reported fire alarm. 54-9B recalled the

28, 2007 Late
last night the company was called in on a 2nd Alaram Building fire in Co. 72's
(Aston-Beechwood) Local. Crews from TS-50 assisted with search and overhaul operations.
One of our members rescued a cat from one of the buidlings involved. Units remained
on scene until about 2 AM. Later this morning crews were dispatched to 600 Mt
Alverno Rd for an accident with entrapment. Units arrived to find a vehicle rolled
over with no entrapment. Crews removed the hazard. June
27, 2007 Today
was a busy day. Very early this morning crews were dispatched to the 700 block
of Creek Rd. for an accident. Arriving units discovered one vehicle into the creek
with no entrapment. Co. 50 remained on scene to assist with scene lighting and
assisted towing with removing the hazard. Crews responded to a MVA on Glen Riddle
Rd. Crews removed the hazard. Our final call of the day was an AFA at Kindercare
in Co. 52's local. Crews investigated and staged. As a storm rumbled into the
area the company responded to multiple wires calls and power related emergencies. June

was the monthly station and apparatus mainenance night. June
25, 2007 This
morning the company was dispatched to 1067 W. Baltimore Pk. at Sears for the AFA.
Co. 50 was recalled enroute by 69 (Lima). Later this morning the company was called
in on the 2nd Alarm on a building fire in Marcus Hook. Crews from 50 assisted
with overhaul operations. Co. 50 also covered Co. 68's (MHTFD) local from station
68. June 24, 2007 Today
at around 11:30 crews responded to Sears Department Store for a waterflow alarm.

22, 2007 Two
calls today. Crews responded to Sears for an AFA. Units on scene investigated.
Later today crews were dispatched to Granite Farms Estates for an AFA. Co. 50
was recalled enroute by 69 (Lima). June
19, 2007 Three Calls today. Our first
call of the day was an AFA at 453 Spring Valley Rd. Units on scene investigated.
The second call of the day was a dwelling at 143 Valley Rd. Crews from 50 helped
investigate. The third call for the day was a building fire at 21 E. Knowlton.
50-9 on location to find a brushfire outside. Crews from TS-50 extinquished the
small fire. Tonights drill was CPR/ AED recert. Those who didn't need to recert,

calls for the day. The first call was a MVA on Duttons Mill Rd. Crews from Stat.
50 and Co. 52 (Brookhaven) removed the hazard. The second call was an AFA at 340

today. The first call was for an automobile accident at 508 S. old Middletown

New Middletown RD for a fire alarm. We also had drill night, crews worked on Ladders.
May 7, 2007 Crews
responded to Able Place for reports of a fire. Companies 50, 69, 54, 52(Brookhaven),
72(Aston Beechwood), and 23 (Media). 50-9 went on location with a small deck fire
in the rear of the building. Crews from TS50 made a quick attack on the fire.
The assignment was held to TS50 and ENG54. Companies 69, 50 & 54 recieved
a dispatch later in the day to Ogden Court for an AFA. 69-9B Recalled the assignment.
May 6, 2007 Crews
from 50 and 52 (Brookhaven) responded to E Dutton Mill Rd. for an accident with
entrapment. 52-9 went on location eporting two entrapped. Crews worked together
to remove the victims. A great job was done by all.

was an accident on S New Middletown Rd. Upon arrival 50-9 recalled the rescue.
Crews from 50-2 worked on removing the hazzard. Crews For 50 & 54 (Lenni)

13:46:05 we recieved a dispatch to assist the medics on Fox Rd. Crews worked with

was a vehicle fire on E. Dutton Mill Rd. Crews from Company 50 and 52 (Brookhaven)
worked to extinguish the fire. The second call was for an AFA at the mall.

responded to the mall for anouther fire alarm. crews recalled by 69-9. April

Circle for an AFA. Crews recalled by 69-9. April
27, 2007 Two calls today. The first
was a vehicle accident on Dutton Mill Rd. Crews from 50 and 52 (Brookhaven) removed
the hazzard. Company 50 recieved a second call to assist the medics on Woodland
Ave. The crew from 50 provided lifting assistance. April
21, 2007 Crews from 50, 54, and 69
recieved a dispatch for an AFA at the YMCA. Crews recalled enroute by Company
69. April 20, 2007 First
call of the day came in at 07:11:08 for an accident with entrapment on US HWY
1. Crews from 69, 54, and 50 worked together to remove the victim and remove the
hazzard. 69-9 released the assignment @ 08:02:03.Company 50 recieved another dispatch
at 17:50:25 to assist the medics on E. Knowlton. Once again we wraped up the day
with a trip the the mall for another AFA. Crews recalled by 69-9 April
18, 2007 Three calls today. The
first was a dispatch @14:20:34 for building fire on Paul Lane. Crews from TS-50
assisted with Overhaul in the rear of the building. FF B.Decker, FF F. Williams,
and 50-12 (Capt. Dave) worked on removing the siding. Crews from 69 and 54 worked
on the interior. 69-9B placed the fire under control @ 14:37:52. The second call
came in at 20:20:07 for a smoke detector activation on Garfield Rd. 50-9A released
the crews after the investigation. We finished up the night with another AFA at
the mall. April 17, 2007 Call
and drill today. The drill was review of the Jones snap hook ups, and alternative
water supply. We are starting to see the water company switch out the older hydrants
but many still to go. The call was at 13:10:03 to assist Company 69 (Lima) with
a AFA at the Mall. The investigation uncovered a broken sprinkler head. April
16, 2007 Busy day For Company 50.
Company 50and 54 reponded to an accident with injuries in the area of 401 S. New
Middletown Rd. Upon arrival 50-9A established command. 50-9A then confirmed the
reports of three indeviduals being ejected from the vehicle. Thanks to the Medic
crews (104-7, 104-7D, 52-7, 52-7A and 45-7) They did an awesome job. Crews from
50 also Assisted company 69 with an accident on Baltimore Pike. Next was a wires
call on Arrowhead. Finally the crews from
50, 54, and 69 responded to Beechwood Ave. for an automatic alarm. April
15, 2007 Another three call day.
Company 50, 54, 69, 23, 73 and RIT 45 responeded to Williamson Trade School for
a building Fire. Crews also responded to S. Hielbron Drive For and AFA, the assignment
was recalled after an investigation by 69-9. Crews from 50, 69, and 54 recieved
another dispatch to Williamson Trade School for an Automatic Alarm. Crews ordered
to remain in station. April 14,
2007 At 14:43:04 the company was
disspatched to assist Company 54 (Lenni) with an accident at the intersection
of S. Pennel & Glen Riddle. Crews worked together to remove the hazzard. April
10, 2007 At 07:57:04 we responded
to Penncrest High School fo and AFA. Crews recalled by 69-9.
The company was also dispatched to Assist Company 52 (Brookhaven) for a
building fire on Scola Rd. Crews released by 52-9 after the investigation. We
finished up the night with Drill night. Crews performed Hydrant Drills and water
supply ops. April 9, 2007 Today
we responded to assist Company 69 (Lima) with a vehicle Fire on Baltimore Pike.

to assist Company 69 (Lima) with an investigation of a gas leak at Denney's. upon
arrival 69-9B recalled the assignment. Crews from 50, 54 (Lenni) and 69 (Lima)
also responded to Lima Estates for a water Flow alarm . April

to Ridley Creek Drive for wires. April
2, 2007 Crews from Company 50 responded
to an investigation on the 500 BLK of Smedley Ave. Crews from TS50 went on location
and spoted a brush fire in the woods. The crews quickly accessed and extinguished

three calls today. The first call was for a building fire at 370 N. Middletown
Rd. Crews assisted Co. 69 (Lima) with the investigation. The second call was for
an accident at Mt. Alverno and Willowgate Lane. Crews removed the hazzard. And
the third call was for an accident during the heavy snow and sleet at Rt. 352

the hazzard. The second call came in at 23:25 for a smoke detector activation

5, 2007 Crews were dispatched to
three calls today. The first call was for an automatic fire alarm at 562 Old Forge
Road. The second call was for a building fire at 7404 Hilltop Drive in Brookhaven.
Crews assisted Co. 52 (Brookhaven) with the investigation. And the third and final
call for the day was at the Franklin Mint for an automatic fire alarm. Crews assisted
Co. 69 (Lima) with the removal of the water from the sprinklers. February
4, 2007 Four calls for the day. The
first call was for a building fire at 510 W. Forge Rd. Crews asisted Co. 69 (Lima)
with ventilation. The second call was for a fuel spill at S. Pennel Rd. and Man
O War Drive. the third call was for a fuel spill at 5400 Pennel Rd.
And the fourth and final call of the day was for an investigation at Bortondale
Rd. and E. Knowlton Rd. Crews investigated and found a controlled burn. February
3, 2007 The first call of the month
was for a dwelling fire at 104 Judith Lane in Knowltonwood. Crews arrived on location
and found a heater backfire. January
31, 2007 This evening drill was held
at the station. This evening crews held a crew night which consisted of checking
over the trucks, and driver training. January
29, 2007 Two calls for the day. The
first call was for an industrial rescue at the YMCA. The second call was for a
motor vehicle accident at S. Pennel Rd. and Highland avenue. January
28, 2007 This evening crews were
dispatched to 9 Riddlewood Drive for an automatic fire alarm. January
27, 2007 This afternoon crews were
dispatched to Rt. 352 and Harvard Drive for an engine compartment fire. January
26, 2007 Late this afternoon crews
responded to 21 Cook Avenue for a residential building fire. Crews arrived on
location and found a chimney fire. January
23, 2007 Drill was held tonight at
the station. Drill consisted of a structural collapse class from Philadelphia
Fire Chief James Smith. Crews from Companies 52, 54, 57, 69,73 all attended.

22, 2007 Three calls for the day.
The first call was for a motor vehicle accident at 208 W. Knowlton Rd. The second
call was to assist the medics at 33 W. Dartmouth Circle. And the third and final

were dispatched to Lenni Rd. and Station Lane for an accident. January
17, 2007 Crews responded to two calls
today. The first call was for a building fire in Co. 54's (Lenni) local. The second
call was for a motor vehicle accident at Edgemont Avenue and E. Dutton Mill Rd.
Crews along with Co. 52 (Brookhaven) removed the hazzard. January
16, 2007 This evening the station
held drill. Drill consisted of working with ropes, a cold weather firefighting
lecture, and driver training. January
15, 2007 We were dispatched to two
calls today. The first call came in at 12:53 for an elevator rescue at Fair Acres.
The second call came in at 13:14 for a building fire at 510 W. Forge Rd. January
14, 2007 Crews responded to two calls
today. The first dispatch was to US Highway Rt. 1 South Bound for an accident.
Crews assisted Co. 69 (Lima) with removal of the hazzard.The second call was to
assist the police at Granite Farms Estates. January
13, 2007 Crews responded to three
calls today. the first call was for an accident with injury reported at 700 Creek
Rd. Crews investigated. The second call was for an automatic fire alarm at 1068
W. Baltimore Pike. And the third and final call was for motor vehicle accident
at 216 Glen Riddle Rd. Crews assisted Co. 54 (Lenni) with the removal of the hazzard.
January 11, 2007 This
evening crews were dispatched to Penncrest High School for an automatic fire alarm.
January 10, 2007 One
call for the day. Crews responded to 448 Darlington Rd. for a building fire. Crews
assisted Co. 69 (Lima) with extinguishment. January

set-up an accident with entrapment and worked on working with the Holmatro tool

was a wires call at Mt. Alverno Rd. and Hidden Hills Rd. Crews were on location
for approximately two hours extinguishing the fire and removing the hazzard. December

to 1056 E. Baltimore Pike for an accident with entrapment. Crews assisted Co.

first call was for a building fire at 106 South New Middletown Rd. The second
call was for a building fire at 1145 W. Baltimore Pike. December

to War Admiral Lane and South Pennel Rd. for a motor vehicle accident. December
15, 2006 This afternoon crews were
dispatched to 215 Hunter Street for an automatic fire alarm. This evening crews
were dispatched to 144 Meadowbrook Lane for a gas leak. Crews assisted Co. 52(Brookhaven)

was to 710 S. Old Middletown Road at the Delware County Alternative High School
to assist the police with a bomb threat. December
10, 2006 Crews responded to two calls
today. The first response was across from 275 Oak Lane for a building fire. Crews
assisted Co. 54(Lenni) with the extiguishment. The second response was to 206
Meadowcroft Lane for the investigation. December
9, 2006 Crews were dispatched to
two calls today. The first call came in at 07:26:25 for an automatic fire alarm
at 1055 E. Baltimore Pike. The second call came in at 16:12:00 for a brush fire
at E. Knowlton and Fox Rd. December
8, 2006 This afternoon crews responded
to 800 Ridley Creek Drive for a brush fire. Crews extinguished the fire. December
7, 2006 Crews recieved three calls
today. The first call was for an automatic fire alarm at Indian Lane Elementary
School. Crews investigated and found that the alarm was accidentally tripped.
The second call was for an automatic fire alarm at Riddle Village. And the third
and finall cal for the day was for a building fire at 4278 School Lane in Co.
52's (Brookhaven) local. December
6, 2006 This evening crews responded
to Riddle Vilage for an automatic fire alarm. Crews from Co. 50 assisted Co. 69(Lima)
with the investigation. December
5, 2006 Crews were dispatched to
two calls today. The first call was dispatched at 14:29:01 for an automatic fire
alarm at 4301 Chandler Drive. The second call was for drill held at the station
this evening. December 4, 2006 Crews
responded to three calls today. The first call was for a motor vehicle accident
at Glen Riddle Rd. and Mt. Alverno Rd. Crews assisted Co. 54(Lenni) with the removal
of the hazzard. The second call that crews responded to was for a brush fire at
713 Creek Rd. The third and final call for the day was for the building fire in
Upland. Crews assisted Co. 57(Upland) with the investigation. December
3, 2006 Today we recieved two calls.
The first call was for an automatic fire alarm at 340 North Middletown Rd. Crews
assisted Co. 69(Lima) with the investigation. The second call was for an automatic
fire alarm at 1069 W. Baltimore Pike. Crews assisted Co. 69 with the investigation.
December 2, 2006 Late
in the evening today the station was dispatched to Highmeadow Drive at Highmeadow
Park for the brush fire. Crews were on location for approximately a half an hour
extinguishing the fire. December
1, 2006 In the middle of the afternoon
today crews responded to 1215 W. Baltimore Pike for a HazMat call.
